Description
About The Book
The book “Mere Babuji” reflects the lessons and experiences I’ve gathered throughout my life from two remarkable father figures.
The first, my biological father, taught me about culture, values, principles, rituals, the importance of respecting elders, and helping others. The second, my father-in-law, showed me how to live life with grace—how to navigate its ups and downs, face struggles with strength, and maintain resilience through every obstacle. He taught me that happiness or sorrow should never alter our true character.
This book is a tribute to the meaningful moments I’ve shared with both of my fathers and the profound ways in which they’ve shaped my journey. It is born from a desire to reflect on life’s experiences and insights, with the hope that these stories may inspire others along their own paths.
Through these pages, I’ve made a humble attempt to express the feelings closest to my heart—and to show how even the smallest step forward can light the way and infuse life with vibrant color.
About The Author
Shiromani Maheshwari is a first-time author, inspired to achieve great things in life despite facing limitations early on due to a lack of resources. From a young age, she was always eager to learn—not just through academics, but through every experience life had to offer.
After completing her M.A. in Political Science, she got married and wholeheartedly embraced her family responsibilities. She devoted herself to her children’s education and well-being, guiding them toward successful careers—one as a doctor and the other as an engineer. Her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts were instrumental in shaping their futures.
Driven by a strong desire to make a meaningful impact, she never lost sight of her passion for doing more. Over time, she became actively involved in social causes, including girls’ empowerment, environmental initiatives, and efforts to uplift society. Gradually, she began contributing articles to newspapers on various social and cultural topics. The encouraging responses she received, along with her life experiences, inspired her to write this book.
Through these pages, she shares how her Babuji—her father-in-law—guided her at every step of life, becoming a beacon of strength and wisdom. She expresses her deepest gratitude to both her fathers (her father and father-in-law), who shaped her character and continue to inspire her and her family.
