About The Book

The Book is about natural rights of an individual, primarily the right to be left alone and the right to speech and expression. The book is in two parts. The first book traces the evolution of the Right to Privacy, its nature, importance, and legal treatment in various jurisdictions, with particular reference to the Indian context. The book also defines Personal Data and describes the various attributes of Personal Data. It also critically evaluates the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, highlighting its lacunae.
In the second Book, Freedom of Speech and Expression is analyzed in the European, American, & Indian context, Various judgments have been referred to. A critical analysis of Supreme Court Judgement on Section 66A of the Information Technology Act has been done along with the ramifications of the judgement.

About The Author

S.N. Ravichandran is cyber-crime investigator and analyst. He holds a M.Sc Degree in Applied Sciences from PSG College of Technology Coimbatore. He is a certificate holder in Public Policy and Strategic studies from Takshashila Think Tank. He is Anchor of Data Security Council of India. He assists the Coimbatore City Police and Economic Offenses Wing on Cyber, White collar, Economic Offences, and Banking fraud investiga-tions. He is one of the faculty members at the In-House Training School of the Tamil Nadu Police in Coimbatore for conducting training sessions on the investigation of Cyber Crimes. He has delivered several lectures to Schools, Colleges, Social & Industrial Organizations on Information security & sexual harassment of women in workplaces and institutions and crypto currency. He has been quoted extensively by Information Security Media Group & has also addressed their workshops in Mumbai and Bengluru. He is a visiting faculty in the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Chennai.
