About the Book
The story presented here is a popular folklore from the historic city of Ratanpur, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. I used to hear this story in my childhood from my grandmother and mother, and it always brought me great joy. It gives me immense pleasure to share this story with all of you—children, elders, and relatives alike. I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I did.
About the Author
Prabhat Shukla hails from the village of Bharari. He is the son of Late Shri Ravishankar Shukla and Late Smt. Indira Devi Shukla. Currently, he resides at Walforth Panorama, Kandul Road, Boria Khurd, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. His early education took place at Government Middle School in Bharari, Ratanpur, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), followed by higher secondary education at Government Higher Secondary Schools in Ratanpur and Lakhram. He earned a B.Sc. from Adarsh Science College, Raipur, and later pursued LL.B. from Kusumtai Dabke Law College, Raipur. Professionally, Prabhat has worked in several renowned private organizations and is currently employed at a reputed private bank. His interests include reading spiritual books, humming Kishore Kumar’s songs, traveling, watching movies, and cricket.
