Description

About the Book

“Understanding the Gita” is not a book to inform; it is rather to transform the inner cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of human beings. How to transform these domains from mundane to transcendental state is important. More important is to practice the ways and means of transformation as such. This is a change in “I”: from ego-“I” to egoless-“I”. The Book shows liberal but disciplined courses of self-purifying actions for such transformation. It makes a reader, the seeker of Truth. It will remind the reader that he/she is already Divine but veiled by ignorance and indolence only. Veils once removed, one turns out Divine. It invites a reader to read, understand and hold handles to operate his/her own life in perfect style and speed to reach the Truth. A trusted friend in spiritual journey, the Book does not care who the reader is: a believer or not, because the imperatives of a spiritual life have no division as such. Belief is not an important issue in Gita. She has not developed any creed, any community, or any doctrine as such. Gita has fixed the ultimate destination (The Truth) for humankind to reach. She endorses whatever behavior one has and suggests aligning the behavior to make one eligible to reach destiny. And the destiny is to realize a “liberated soul” replacing the “ego-soul” captive in delusion, ignorance and Gunas.
