About The Book

India produces world-class talent. Global CEOs. Visionary founders. Exceptional engineers.

So why don’t we build companies that dominate the world?

This is not a book about blaming markets, capital, or policy. It is about examining the leadership habits and cultural patterns that limit scale from within.

If talent is abundant, what must change for giants to emerge?

This book is about the fundamental reasons that prevent us from creating magnificent global organisations. It explains why leaders hesitate, why systems break at scale, and why organisations stop at 99°, just before the water becomes steam that powers an engine. This book helps you understand why:

• Good strategies collapse during execution
• Authority gets diluted to avoid conflict
• Experts are hired but never empowered
• Chaos is mistaken for agility
• Scaling is feared more than failure

It exposes how fear, control, and weak governance quietly suffocate global ambition and why founders delay building the systems and discipline required to scale.

About The Author

With over 40 years of experience in Indian and multinational companies, he has worked with global leaders such as IBM and Indian innovators like Softek and Newgen Software. Competing with international giants has taught him the value of innovation, perseverance, and flexibility.

At SCO, the company behind the Unix operating system, he learned that even successful organisations can fail due to leadership flaws. He has lived in India and the USA and has travelled to over 40 countries. In his current role, he has built a strong network of business partners across 70 nations. These experiences have deepened his understanding of people and cultures, and of why many promising products never achieve lasting success.

The author currently serves as President of the Bengal Welfare and Cultural Association, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi.

He is also the author of two books — Lamb Leading Lions and Selling Is Not Cheating — both of which reflect his commitment to purposeful leadership, ethical success, and inspiring others to grow with courage and conviction.
