Serena thinks her biggest problem is constantly arguing with her siblings. But everything changes when she wakes to discover a mysterious map on her desk and learns that her sister, Crystal, has vanished.

Serena soon finds an ancient book called Forbidden Cities, which can transport its reader to magical realms. Along with her mischievous older brother Rex, she begins an incredible journey through Altaria, Dwarka, Pegasus Grove, the Hall of Memories, and other hidden worlds filled with elves, fairies, mermaids, dragons, and terrifying creatures.

Along the way, Serena meets Lilac, a fairy Protector, Coral, a mermaid Protector, and mysterious allies such as Ms. Sprinkles and Thunder. As she follows clues hidden in magical books, ancient maps, memories, and enchanted artifacts, Serena discovers that seven powerful Magic Stones are the key to protecting all the realms. However, a mysterious force called the Eclipse is determined to find them first.

Serena also learns that the Sabertooth organisation, believed to be evil, has actually protected the realms for generations—and Rex secretly belongs to it. As the young Protectors battle dangerous creatures and overcome ancient traps, Serena begins to understand the importance of trust, courage, and family.

The greatest mystery is the ancient Phoenix symbol, which appears throughout her journey and connects to forgotten wars and lost civilizations.

Serena eventually rescues Crystal and reunites her family, but her adventure is far from over. Her Blue Stone has awakened powerful abilities, and the true enemy remains hidden.

The Seven Realms are safe—for now.
