Description
About The Book
As India advances towards 2047—the centenary year of its independence—it is traversing a pivotal phase defined by development, self-reliance, social harmony, cultural self-confidence, and a significant global role. Set against this broad national backdrop, this book represents both a conceptual and practical endeavor to understand the resolve for a “Viksit Bharat 2047” (Developed India 2047) and the diverse national challenges confronting it.
The objective of the book is not merely to describe contemporary issues but to present a holistic approach to resolving them by understanding their social, economic, cultural, and ideological dimensions. It addresses topics such as national security, internal and external challenges, demographic imbalances, illegal infiltration, religious conversion, informational and ideological challenges, economic self-reliance, cultural consciousness, the environment, social evils, and women’s empowerment within a comprehensive perspective.
The book is grounded in the philosophies of Ekatma Manav Darshan (Integral Humanism), Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person), and a holistic perspective; it emphasizes the interrelationships between the individual, society, the nation, and nature, as well as the necessity of ensuring that the benefits of development reach the most marginalized individuals. For students, researchers, social and political activists, and readers interested in nation-building and public life, this book serves as a valuable resource for understanding contemporary India and reflecting on the roles of citizens and society in the journey towards a ‘Developed India 2047’.
