Poetry writing is akin to writing in a diary, observations, analysis, studied introspection and seeking in words emotional and intellectual compounds of articulation in verse forms. Dr Lalit Mohan Sharma is seized by his day-in and day-out encounters with situations in the immediate environment and the larger penetrating ethos which touches nation-state or man across the oceans. An FIR on a poem, denial of bail to a public activist or the emotional strings of Eros getting embroiled in relationships, the inconsistent drum-beats of mortality, each impacts the creative urge, and the churning leads to discovery of poems as metaphors for such invasions of mental calm. Not that every little bit enters the poetic domain, and yet creativity has to break out of the siege and assert to shout Hurrah for the human spirit.
