When a person experiences separation and reaches the brink of despair, they cannot endure the pain of separation, and it becomes a source of sorrow, anguish, and turmoil in their heart. That turmoil is expressed as tears through the eyes, and each tear, like a wave, merges with the words of a flowing poem, paving the way ahead and eventually merging into the boundless ocean of love. This sorrow, pain, and separation can happen to anyone. The love of lovers, the separation from parents or children, leaving behind a beloved place, person, or time, the deep emotions associated with them naturally become priceless literature. Some of them become timeless, while others are lost in time.

“”Aankhon Ka Kajal”” is a symbol of beauty, and my attempt is to weave various emotions into the garland of poetry, considering it as the center.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Nageshwar Prasad Mukherjee, born on September 7, 1957, in the village of Jagdishpur, Bhagalpur district, Bihar, India, is a prolific writer whose literary works have been widely published and appreciated. Currently residing at N1/52, Vatika Green City, Dimna Road, Mango, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, Mukherjee has authored several notable books, including the short story collections “”Dhaneeram”” and “”Dusht Mantri,”” both of which have seen multiple editions. His novel “”Juhi Ki Khidki”” and poetry collections “”Kalpanaon Ki Mandakini”” and “”Aankhon Ka Kajal”” have also received critical acclaim, with the latter being his latest publication in 2024 by Astitva Prakashan, Bilaspur. Mukhji’s literary contributions have enriched the cultural landscape and captivated readers across generations.
