Description

About The Book

This book, popular among D. Pharm colleges, adheres to the ER 2020 standards. Biochemistry is the integration of chemical and biological sciences. It integrates biology and chemistry to examine the chemical and physical processes associated with living organisms. Pharmacy students must comprehend these components to grasp the diverse biomolecules, their roles, precursor abnormalities, enzymes, and the biochemical processes associated with biomolecules. Understanding deficiency diseases and metabolic pathways is essential for pharmacy students. All chapters of the book have been methodically written in straightforward language, according to the new PCI curriculum, facilitating readers’ comprehension of each subject. Each area has been delineated succinctly and with precision. Each chapter explains biomacromolecules, including their types, structure, how they are assessed, their importance in biology, and the problems that can arise from their improper metabolism. The metabolism chapter encompasses the metabolic processes of carbohydrates, lipids, and amino acids, as well as the disorders resulting from their aberrant metabolism.
