Description

About The Book

This novel revolves around the hostel life of a research scholar at Banaras Hindu University, and the tender journey of his love that blossoms amid the ghats and alleys of Banaras.
The story flows seamlessly into the heart of Bihar and Purvanchal, capturing the fragrance, faith, and emotional essence of Chhath Puja — the grand festival that binds families together and symbolizes a mother’s unending wait for her child’s return.
Set against this spiritual and cultural backdrop, the narrative takes an unexpected turn – revealing that the protagonist secretly works for India’s intelligence agency. Torn between love, duty, and devotion, he must protect not only his nation but also the sanctity of his roots and traditions.
The novel also highlights his fight to save the water bodies of Northeast India, reflecting the struggle between modernity and ecological preservation.
Through emotion, faith, and sacrifice, “Chhath Mein Aaoge Kya?” becomes a poetic meditation on belonging, identity, and the eternal bond between a son and his mother — and between a man and his soil.
