About The Book
Deh Bhar by Dr. Geeta Dubey is a soul stirring collection of Hindi poems that gives voice to the quiet ache and quiet power of being. At its heart lies womanhood soft, strong, burdened, and beautiful. The poems unfold the invisible weight women carry through love, duty, silence, and endurance. But Deh Bhar is not just about women. It’s about the fading laughter of childhood, the loneliness of growing old, and the silent grief of a dying environment. Each poem is a whisper of memories, of pain, of resilience. This book doesn’t shout; it lingers, like a feeling you can’t forget.
About The Author
“Dr. Geeta Dubey, The journey of a woman who, born on 1 June 1956 in a small village Mandsaur, touched the sky of education with her determination and struggle.
After contributing to the field of higher education for 43 years, Dr. Geeta Dubey retired from the post of professor on 31 May 2021 but her work never stopped, nor did her thinking stop. An embodiment of simplicity, dignity and self-confidence, Dr. Dubey earned higher degrees like M.A. (Economics), Ph.D. and LLB through self-study. On 12 January 1978, she started a new chapter as an Assistant Professor in the Government Postgraduate College of Jhabua.
The courage, struggle and hard work of women working in various fields became the inspiration for her writing. The silent stories of those women, the calls of suppressed voices and unspoken sorrows all called out to her to give words. This call kept resonating in her poems. Her writing is not just poetry, it is the language of every woman’s inner soul. Her words have compassion, resistance, love, and a strong desire for change.”
