About the Book

this is my second book, and i am still very much learning as i go.
i have been writing for over a decade now, but this collection, in particular, has been quietly forming for nearly seven years. some of these poems were written in moments i did not fully understand back then, and some came much later, when i had learnt to sit with my feelings a little longer. together, they hold time, change, and growth in ways i did not plan, but slowly came to recognise.
writing has always been the one place i return to when i cannot make sense of what i feel. i am often unable to express things in the moment. so i take my time, step away, and write. over the years, this habit of returning to words has become my refuge, my coping mechanism, and the most honest way i know how to exist.
this book is not a collection of perfect poems. it is a collection of honest ones.
and that is why it is so close to my heart.

About the Author 

jeeya is a poet and writer whose relationship with words began long before she knew what to call it. writing, for her, is less of a practice and more of a place she returns to when thoughts feel heavier than speech.
she is currently a student at the Indian School of Business (co’26). outside of writing, she is deeply fond of bollywood films, everyday conversations, and the small details of life that often find their way back into her work.
