Five feet five tall, a stereotype Bengali, Upenda works in an insurance company. He happens to interact with Mayukh, a freelance journalist, while living in the same mess. Mayukh’s nickname is Peru. Like his strange name, he is also associated with some mysterious work, Upen comes to gather. One day, with the encouragement of Peru, they happen to shift to an old flat house in New Alipore. Upen learns that Peru is associated with a private investigation firm. Along with a friend, he accidentally gets involved in several investigations, one after the other.The Peru Upenda Omnibus, Volume I, contains six such Peru-Upenda case stories. They are 1. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Born in Palassy, West Bengal in 1979. Due to father’s transferable job, did schooling from Krishnanagar, then Balurghat and then Midnapore Town. After competing B.E (Elec) from Jalpaiguri Govt Engg College, worked in Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad in REDC cell and thereafter is employed in WBSEDCL as an Electrical Engineer.
