About the book

Gender inequality is still a major issue despite constitutional provisions. This book addresses the various problems faced by women due to patriarchal structures, orthodox traditions, religion, and customs. Women continue to have secondary status and are dependent on others for decisions related to themselves. The book raises important questions and issues related to the life of women, exposing the harsh reality and calling for improvement in their condition.

About the author

I was born in a small village Manesar in the state of Haryana, India. I got immense encouragement from my father Mr. Gajraj Singh and mother Mrs. Santosh Devi and my grandmother Lalkour Devi, husband and in-laws, because of their encouragement today I am doing PhD from Banasthali Vidyapith. I have done M.A. from Kurukshetra University. and obtained M.Phil degree from Central University of Haryana and U.G.C. Cleared NET & JRF 2 times conducted by I am currently preparing for UPSC. I have presented 15-20 research papers in national and international conferences/seminars, some research papers have been published in books and five research papers have also been published in UGC approved journals.
