Description

About The Book

“”Ishwar Darshan”” is a spiritual memoir by Ramesh Ramchandra More, described by the author as a “”short treatise”” rather than a fictional novel. The book chronicles the author’s transition from a curious skeptic experimenting with the occult to a devout seeker experiencing divine realization. The narrative begins with childhood memories, such as witnessing his father walk on fire during Holi, and progresses to his youth, where he experimented with planchettes and spirit communication alongside his friend Sudhir Nagle.
A significant turning point occurs when the author meets his spiritual guide, Acharya Sir, who steers him away from aimless curiosity toward disciplined Sadhana, including Japa and Tratak. The text recounts various supernatural experiences, culminating in a profound, physical manifestation of Lord Shiva as a ball of light in the village of Belgaum, which led to the construction of a local shrine.
Beyond personal anecdotes, the book serves as a guide on the paranormal, analyzing phenomena like black magic (Bhanamati), ghosts, and possession while critically exposing fake godmen and superstitions. Ultimately, More emphasizes the importance of a Guru, inner purity, and genuine devotion over the pursuit of occult powers, offering specific mantras and yantras to aid spiritual seekers.

About The Author

Ramesh Ramchandra More is the author of the book Ishwar Darshan. He is professionally a businessman involved in the fields of arts and electronics. Specifically, he established an electronics service center in Mangaon and was also skilled in commercial painting and creating signboards.
More developed a passion for writing during his school days and had previously written an unpublished novel titled Manjul Vasana. However, his writing took a backseat due to his business responsibilities. It was only after the encouragement of his friend, the poet Sudhir Nagle, that he resumed writing, which resulted in the creation of this “”short treatise””.
The author does not claim to be a spiritual authority. Instead, he describes the book as a compilation of his independent thoughts, personal contemplation, and supernatural experiences. His spiritual journey began with his father, known as “”More Chanewale,”” and later evolved under the guidance of his guru, Acharya Sir. Through his work, More aims to guide readers toward spiritual truth while exposing societal superstitions and fraudulent practices.
