Beginning any endeavor often feels challenging, as one is unsure where to start. The desire to share my thoughts and emotions with readers inspired me to compile and present this collection of poems that I have cherished over the years.

Although I do not claim extensive literary expertise, I firmly believe that a poet resides within every human heart. Whenever emotions become so profound that they seek expression through words that touch the soul, poetry is born. Poetry is one of the most powerful mediums for expressing human emotions.

When poetry, in its many vibrant forms, blends with the beauty of nature, explores the depths of the soul, and reaches the heights of imagination, it awakens positive feelings within us. Poetry possesses a unique magic—it can inspire a weary mind, uplift a discouraged spirit, and fill life with renewed energy, hope, and joy.

About The Author

Dr. B. Sachidanand was born on 14 May 1953 in a priestly family in Dehradun, Uttar Pradesh (now in Uttarakhand). He spent his early childhood in Bengaluru and later lived in Bihar for a brief period. Following his primary education in Bengaluru, he moved to Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, in 1966 due to his father’s transfer.

He completed his secondary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, graduated from Government Model Science College (formerly Robertson College), and earned his postgraduate degree in Agriculture from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV), Jabalpur. He began his professional career as a Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry.

Subsequently, he obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry and, through his dedication and academic excellence, rose through the ranks to become Professor and Head of the Department. He retired from service in 2018 after a distinguished academic and research career.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. B Sachidanand coordinated and supervised numerous research projects funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) across various colleges and research centers under the university. He also had the privilege of working under the guidance of the renowned agricultural scientist Dr. M. S. Swaminathan through the Swaminathan Research Foundation.

Dr. B Sachidanand made significant contributions to the development and promotion of bio-fertilizers for various crops based on the principle of biological nitrogen fixation. His efforts helped popularize sustainable agricultural practices among farmers. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to agricultural research and extension, he received several awards and honors from the university as well as from numerous scientific organizations.
