About The Book
The book is an ode to the one of the most interesting and important Vidhansabha Elections in India, especially the Hindi heartland.
The time period from 2005 till today has been chosen, as this has been the time frame where the entire political equilibrium of Bihar changed especially after coming of Nitish Kumar government in November, 2005. That is the time Bihar was reeling under Jungleraj, hooliganism, lawlessness, poverty, economic backwardness, illiteracy, notoriety, mockery and other bad reasons.
It has been divided into various timelines from 2005 to 2010, 2010 to 2015, 2015 to 2020 and from 2020 to 2025. In all these years, one thing has remained constant, i. e. Nitish Kumar and he is still relevant in 2025. Lalu Yadav has passed on the baton to his younger son, Tejaswi Yadav and he has clearly succeeded Lalu Yadav. Chirag Paswan has maintained that he wishes to penetrate more in Bihar than in Centre. Samrat Chaudhary has emerged has a future prospect for Bihar BJP. An interesting entrant into the political fiefdom of Bihar is Prashant Kishor. Though he will be more of an headache for Mahagathbandhan than NDA.
The Bihar of 2025 has moved on from the Bihar of 2005. It has aspirations of coping with the changing times and taking strides in spheres of development. It wants jobs, employment, opportunities within the state. In the last 30 years, it has both seen Jungleraj and Sushasan. Now, agenda of Bihar election is different. Another interesting dimension to the upcoming election is the arrival of young brigade, but the towering image of Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav cannot be ignored. Overall, the upcoming Bihar Vidhansabha election will be a very interesting case study and determine the fate of this Hindi state in Eastern India.
About The Author
I am an Advocate by profession in courts of Delhi and writing is my passion. Subjects like art and culture, art and craft particularly Hindi cinema, Cricket, politics, crime, real life stories, biographies are my forte in writing.
I was born in Prayagraj in November, 1989 and my native place is Varanasi. My father has been an IAS officer(now retired) in Jharkhand cadre. I have spent my formative years in parts of Jharkhand. I did my LLB from a prestigious NLU in Patna. I got inclined towards Law as most of my maternal side from Prayagraj were into law.
I was into writing since my school days, but those days it were mostly fiction based stories, detective stories, drama, etc. As I was into my early adulthood, I gradually forayed into current affairs, news, television, movies, cricket which developed my insight into these subjects. I basically started doing analysis of these topics and gradually started transforming those into words. I write with my instincts and heart and the element of commercialism, street-smartness may be missing in my writing. As I know deep down the line, the readers like whatever is written with honesty and heart. I wish to be different from others as a writer and person. And, I believe there are many topics in India which still remains grey area. I wish to foray into those topics as well. The readers in India in today’s time have become more well read, updated, conscious, curious which enhances the challenges for authors today but it has also raised the bar for writing in India which is a good trend. The appreciation of the readers towards my work which has been done with honesty and passion will be my biggest blessing and asset.
