About The Author

Satpal Sharma was born in a humble and hardworking family in Aawal village of Rohtak district, Haryana. At the young age of ten, he lost his father, and growing up in difficult circumstances shaped his resilience, patience, and emotional depth—qualities that are clearly reflected in his poetry. He completed his early education in his village, pursued his graduation from Kurukshetra University, and later earned his B.Ed. degree from Government College of Education, Bhiwani.

From an early age, he developed a deep passion for poetry, and his writings were regularly featured in college magazines, earning appreciation for their simplicity and heartfelt expression. He began his professional career as a teacher and eventually retired as a respected school principal. Over the years, he has been honored with several awards in poetry competitions.

Currently residing in Noida, Satpal Sharma continues his literary journey. Ibtida, his first published book, is a beautiful reflection of his life experiences and inner voice.

सतपाल शर्मा हरियाणा के ज़िला रोहतक के गाँव आंवल में एक सादे और मेहनती परिवार में पैदा हुए। बचपन में ही, दस साल की उम्र में, उनके वालिद का साया सिर से उठ गया। छोटे से गाँव में मुश्किल हालात में पले-बढ़े इस बच्चे के अंदर सब्र, हिम्मत और इंसानी जज़्बात की गहराई पैदा हुई — जो आगे चलकर उनकी शायरी की रूह बन गई।
उन्होंने अपनी शुरुआती तालीम अपने गाँव में हासिल की और फिर कुरुक्षेत्र विश्वविद्यालय से ग्रेजुएशन मुकम्मल किया। इसके बाद गवर्नमेंट कॉलेज ऑफ़ एजुकेशन, भिवानी से बी.एड. की डिग्री हासिल की।
कम उम्र से ही उन्हें शायरी से गहरा लगाव था। उनकी नज़्में कॉलेज मैगज़ीन में शाया होती रहीं और उनकी सादगी व एहसास की गहराई को खूब सराहा गया। उन्होंने अपने पेशेवर सफ़र की शुरुआत एक अध्यापक के तौर पर की और आख़िरकार एक मोअज़्ज़ज़ स्कूल प्रिंसिपल के रूप में रिटायर हुए।
विभिन्न शायरी मुकाबलों में उन्हें कई इनामात से नवाज़ा गया। उनकी तहरीरें ज़िंदगी की जद्दोजहद, उम्मीद, दर्द और हौसले की सच्ची तर्जुमानी करती हैं।
वर्तमान में वह नोएडा में मुक़ीम हैं और अपनी अदबी सफ़र को जारी रखे हुए हैं। उनकी पहली किताब, जो अब शाया होने जा रही है, उनके तजुर्बात और दिल की आवाज़ का ख़ूबसूरत इज़हार है।
