Description
About The Book
In a grand ceremony organized in May 2007 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the 1857 revolt, these poems (Muktak) were to be recited by 51 children of Bhilai as a courtesy gift to His Excellency the President, Shri APJ Abdul Kalam ji, but due to storm and security reasons, this courtesy gift program had to be cancelled and these poems also remained confined to folders and pages.
On the special request of the then Additional Chief Education Officer of BSP School, Mrs. Rita Shrivastava, I wrote these poems for the great personality of the Honorable President Shri Abdul Kalam ji in just 5-6 hours with tireless mental effort, because on the third day itself a team of about 200 children and teachers was going to leave for Delhi and before that these poems were to be written in beautiful handwriting and kept in 51 folders and presented to the President as a gift. Whatever I knew about Dr. Abdul Kalam’s personality, I have put all those special qualities into practice in the form of poetry. Summarizing his personality is like showing light to the sun.
After a long gap, I now felt that these poems should be dedicated to the late President Shri APJ Abdul Kalam and given the form of a book. As a result, “”The Great Dr. Abdul Kalam”” is in your hands. My salutations to the miraculous personality of science and India, before whom the whole world bowed down.
