About The Author

Dr. Dharmendra Chharang, author of “Nutritional Insights for Elephant Health,” is a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of Haryana. With a PhD in Elephant Nutrition and a Gold Medal in MVSc (Animal Nutrition), he brings rich academic and professional experience. He has served in key roles, including Deputy Director at the Central Poultry Development Organisation, Mumbai. A prolific researcher, Dr. Chharang has authored over 70 publications and actively contributes to editorial boards and professional societies, earning accolades for his outstanding contributions to veterinary science.
