Inventions, innovations, and discoveries of February scientists, the respective domains of science have got a new direction to follow. Efficient attempts of Indian National Council of Science and Technology Communication and the support of Indian government are serving a lot to orchestrate the celebration of Indian National Science Day on 28 February each year to mark discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Nobel laureate Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on 28 February, 1928. February born scientists are (were) enthusiastic and linked through his wider area of science, bound to have fortified inventions and discoveries. About the Author
After working as Junior College teacher (three years at Rajendra Vidyalaya and Junior College, Khandala District- Satara) and Professor in Zoology (thirty-three years at Agricultural Development Trust, Shardabai Pawar Mahila Mahavidyalaya Shardanagar, Malegaon Baramati), Dr. Vitthalrao B. Khyade retired on 31 May, 2023. Use of Juvenoid Compounds; herbal compounds (Digoxin); Stevia Inulin; terpene compounds (including retinol) and acetone extractives of selected plants for rearing the fifth instar larvae of silkworm for commercial silk is the significant contribution of his kind self. Through the research on BSF, his contributions to science directly helped to raise the antiaging formulation. The antimicrobial proteins of BSF have a critical role in enhancement of immunity and he believe to be involved in the treatment of cancer. He is recipient of more than thirty international prestigious awards of best research papers and the best presentations. More than three hundred published research papers are on his credit. Twenty-eight of his publications are with Nobel Laureates. One research scholar had been completed the Ph. D. Degree and two scholars have been completed the M. Phil. Degree through the able guidance of his kind self. Dedication to ADT governance and groundbreaking work in Popularization of Science through “Dr. APIS-Science-Spectrum” served to earn significant citation from Global Society for Health and Educational Growth and “Best Scientist” award of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
