Dr. Sudarsan Mandal is a contemporary Bengali poet whose works are deeply rooted in the realities of life and the complexities of human emotion. A physician by profession and a poet by passion, he brings a rare blend of scientific insight and human sensitivity to his writing. He completed his MBBS from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College, Kolkata, and his MD from the All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata. Since joining the Central Health Service in 1987, he has dedicated his career to public health and healthcare administration.

Drawing inspiration from nature, memory, relationships, love, loneliness, and the everyday struggles of ordinary people, Dr. Mandal’s poetry reflects both the beauty and fragility of human existence.
