I do not understand the tradition in literature of writing a preface before the main work. However, if this is customary, I should follow it as well. In my view, works should first be read by readers as they are, without preconceptions. Afterward, one should try to understand the creation based on one’s own experience, and then consider whether the author intended the same interpretation. I believe the preface should be read at the end. If readers begin with the preface, their focus might become limited to a single perspective, which could narrow the interpretation of the work instead of allowing for a broader understanding. Readers may experience different emotions and insights by approaching the work from their own perspectives before reading the preface. With this in mind, I have chosen not to elaborate further in the preface to my third poetry collection, ‘Rang Saat Kahaniyan Anek.’ Readers are part of this society, and they can see all the scenes that appeared before me, reflecting their own experiences. I have curated this collection with that perspective in mind.
