All my short stories are original. The recurring themes of survival, the occult, detective work, artificial intelligence and murder mystery are laced with dark humour. Context and settings are in urban locales of Kolkata and Delhi. The mood is mostly macabre and fast-paced, exploring how contemporary city life and the eerie afterlife throw up challenges for the characters to overcome.
All stories have a twist in the tail ending. The average word count of each story is around 2000 words; the total word count is approximately 30,000 words.
My target readership is teenagers and young adult readers. Some traces of transmission of values may come through my tales, but my real intention is to please and thrill, making the young readers get lost in the space and time of the stories.
