Ankit Joshi is a seasoned business development and digital marketing professional whose career sits at the intersection of technology, relationship strategy, and organizational growth. He currently serves as a Business Development Executive at a leading cloud solution provider, where he helps organizations design systems and strategies that turn initial engagements into long-term partnerships.
His expertise spans CRM-driven outreach, email marketing, donor management, grant management, and the design of structured communication frameworks that strengthen client and donor relationships at scale, with a strong focus on sustainable engagement and retention strategies.
This book, however, did not begin in a professional setting. It traces back to Ankit’s college years, when he volunteered with multiple nonprofit organizations—supporting fundraising drives, donor outreach, and community campaigns. It was during this time that he first encountered a recurring challenge: organizations doing meaningful work, supported by generous donors, yet struggling to retain them due to the absence of structured engagement systems.
As his career progressed, so did his involvement with the nonprofit sector. He continued to collaborate with and advise organizations, applying CRM principles, automation frameworks, and relationship-driven growth strategies to fundraising contexts. The gap between donor engagement in theory and its execution in practice became the foundation for The Donor Retention Engine.
In 2025, Ankit was awarded an honorary doctorate in Digital Innovation and Transformation by the Honorary Doctorate Award Council (HDAC), New Delhi, in recognition of his contributions to digital marketing strategy.
He also brings a creative background in graphic design, photography, and visual storytelling—blending analytical precision with creative insight in both his work and writing. He is based in Indore, India.
