About The Book 

This book is based on the biography of Guru Amar Das Ji. His attainment of Guruship at the age of 73 demonstrates that age is no barrier to devotion to God.
He made the Langar (community kitchen) system mandatory, opposed the Sati and purdah (veil) practices, and promoted widow remarriage. He established the Manji system to spread religious teachings and built Baoli Sahib, thereby fostering equality in society. This book highlights his religious contributions and also depicts his role in building a just and equitable society.

About The Author

I am Ajit Singh Bhalla (born in 1966), a devoted admirer of Hindi and Sikh literature and a lifelong seeker of spiritual wisdom. My deep interest in the teachings of the Sikh Gurus and the values of equality, humility, and service has been a guiding light throughout my life.

This book, centered on the divine life and message of Guru Amar Das Ji, reflects my heartfelt tribute to the Third Nanak’s vision of social reform, compassion, and human unity. Through this humble work, I aim to share Guru Sahib’s timeless message of service (seva), devotion (samarpan), and equality (samaanata) with every home and heart, especially among the younger generation seeking spiritual clarity in modern times.
