About The Book

Education is the cornerstone of national development, shaping not only the intellectual capacity of individuals but also the socio-economic progress of a nation. In recent years, India has taken a significant step forward by introducing the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), which aims to transform the education system into a more holistic, flexible, multidisciplinary, and learner-centered framework.
This book, “NEP 2020 and Viksit Bharat 2047”, has been written with the objective of providing a comprehensive and simplified understanding of the policy and its role in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047. The content has been carefully structured to bridge the gap between theoretical policy frameworks and practical implementation strategies.
Each chapter of this book explores key dimensions of NEP 2020, including skill development, digital transformation, research, inclusivity, and institutional responsibilities. Special emphasis has been placed on aligning educational reforms with the broader national goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, ensuring that readers understand the long-term impact of these changes.
This book is intended for students, educators, researchers, policymakers, and academic administrators who wish to gain deeper insights into the evolving landscape of Indian education.
