About the Book
This book contributes to demonstrate how to apply the applications of quality, Statistical Quality Control includes both the application of statistical sampling theory that deals with quality assurance and the use of statistical techniques to monitor and control a process. The former includes acceptance sampling procedures for inspecting incoming parts or raw materials, and the latter (often referred to as statistical process control or SPC) employs the use of control charts, continuous improvement tools, and the design of experiments for early detection and prevention of problems, rather than correction of problems that have already occurred.
This book deals with Importance of SQC in Industry statistical basics of Shewart control charts construction of control charts for variables (mean and range) and attributes ( P, np and c-chart with fixed and varying sample size). Interpretation of control charts. And acceptance sampling plans Producers risk and consumers risk concept of acceptance Quality level (AQL) and Lot Tolerance percentage defectives (LTPD) single and double sampling plans for attributes.
This book also deals with Reliability, introduction, Failure rates, Hazard functions, instantaneous failure rates. The failure rate is one of the crucial probabilistic characteristics for a number of disciplines; including reliability, survival analysis, risk analysis and demography and Linear programming Meaning and scope of operation research, and Transportation, Assignment and Sequencing problems.
Linear Programming (LP) might be one of the most well-known and widely used mathematical tools in the world. As a branch of optimization, it serves as the most important cornerstone of operations research, decision science and management science, and etc
In recent years, operations research (OR) is being used widely for decision making in management. As with most tools, however, OR is useless unless the user understands its application and purpose.
The user has to ensure that the mathematical input accurately reflects the real-life problems to be solved and that the numerical results are correctly applied to solve them. With this in mind, this text emphasizes model-formulations, model-building skills and manual solution methods.
