About the Author
Chandra Shekhar Singh, a multifaceted literary artisan from the culturally rich city of Varanasi, has carved a distinguished path as an author, poet, and freelance translator. With over two decades of experience as a librarian in esteemed institutions across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, he currently serves in Sitapur, UP, continuing his lifelong commitment to books and learning.
In 2022, Mr. Singh made his mark as a translator with Told Untold, an English rendition of Dr. Krishna Kumar Upadhyah’s Hindi novel Raghao Ek Baar Phir Aao. This debut translation showcased his mastery in bridging linguistic and cultural nuances, allowing readers to experience the essence of the original narrative.
A proud alumnus of Banaras Hindu University, where he completed both his graduation and post-graduation, Mr. Singh draws inspiration from his extensive travels across India. These journeys lend authenticity to his work, reflecting the vibrant diversity of the nation’s cultural heritage.
His creative pursuits have found a platform in leading newspapers and magazines from Delhi and Varanasi, and his poetry has been broadcast under the Yuvwani program of Akashvani Varanasi. In 2023, he published Sneh Tantu, a Hindi poetry collection, and is now working on a novel scheduled for release in December 2025.
