About The Author

Chaitanya S. Agarwal is a retired Groundwater Scientist from the Uttar Pradesh Groundwater Department. He holds an M.Sc. in Geology and an M.Sc. (Engineering) in Advanced Survey and Photogrammetry. Over the course of his distinguished career, he traveled extensively across India, offering his expertise in groundwater studies and actively participating in national seminars and conferences, where he presented several research papers on vital hydrological topics.

His first book, Remote Sensing for Groundwater Investigation, was published in 2000 and earned wide acclaim for its insightful contribution to the field. Following his retirement from active government service, Mr. Agarwal continued his professional journey as a consultant, with a particular focus on the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand.

A passionate reader and prolific writer, Mr. Agarwal has authored numerous books spanning a wide range of subjects. His works include titles on the Hindu wedding system, wisdom from great personalities, the cultural significance of Hindu festivals, the realities of hill collapses, and more.
