About The Author

Dr. Ashish Pratap Singh is a legal scholar and academician specializing in Hindu Law and contemporary personal laws of India. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Law, which reflect his advanced research and expertise in legal theory and practice.

Dr. Singh has more than 11 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in law schools, where he has taught subjects such as Family Law, Personal Laws, Hindu Law, and Legal Interpretation to undergraduate and postgraduate law students. Over the course of his academic career, he has been involved in teaching, research supervision, curriculum design, and legal scholarship.
As an author, Dr. Singh has contributed significantly to legal education through his book titled Modern Hindu Law, which is designed to help law students, researchers, and practitioners understand both the foundational principles and modern developments in Hindu personal law in India. His work bridges classical legal doctrines with statutory reforms and judicial interpretations, making complex legal concepts accessible for both academic study and practical application.
