Dr. Susmita Saha, Ph.D. in Human Physiology from Tripura University, is Associate Dean (Academic) and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Assam down town University, Sankar Madhab Path, Gandhinagar, Panikhaiti, Guwahati, Assam, India, PIN- 781026. A gold medalist in B.Sc. and M.Sc., she specializes in molecular biology, Cellular mechanisms and systemic diseases. Her research spans wound healing, molecular diagnostics, and integrative medical education. With extensive experience in medical education and research, her expertise spans clinical sciences, rheumatology, and allied health disciplines. Dr. Saha has contributed significantly to healthcare education through her scholarly work, research publications, and active participation in academic development. Her passion lies in translating complex medical knowledge into practical insights for clinicians and students alike. Through this book, she aims to bridge science and clinical practice, enhancing understanding and management of arthritis for improved patient outcomes.
Dr. Rajib Mandal is an accomplished Optometry educator, clinician, and researcher with a PhD in Optometry and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Eudoxia Research University, USA. With over a decade of academic and clinical experience, he has published more than 25 peer-reviewed research articles and authored over 25 textbooks in optometry and allied health sciences. He currently serves as Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator of Optometry in the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Assam down town University, Sankar Madhab Path, Gandhinagar, Panikhaiti, Guwahati, Assam, India, PIN- 781026. Dr. Dapkupar Wankhar is Associate Professor and Dean (In-Charge), Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, and Assistant Director at the Directorate of International Affairs, Assam down town University, Sankar Madhab Path, Gandhinagar, Panikhaiti, Guwahati, Assam, India, PIN- 781026. He earned his undergraduate degree from JIPMER Puducherry and completed his postgraduate and doctoral studies at the University of Madras. With over a decade of teaching experience—including at AIIMS Bhopal—he has mentored countless students in Physiology. Dr. Wankhar has published around 25 research papers in international journals, authored four books, and was awarded an ICMR-STS Project in 2021. He previously held a Teaching cum Research Fellowship at the University of Madras. Known for academic excellence and leadership, he actively advances research, curriculum development, and international academic collaborations while guiding future scholars.
Mr. Kanak Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Human Physiology, Holy Cross College, Agartala, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Human Physiology at Tripura University under Prof. Samir K. Sil. He holds an M.Phil. in Biotechnology from Assam University and an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Dibrugarh University. His research focuses on Cancer Biology, Autoimmune and Inflammatory Diseases, and HPV Biology. With a strong foundation in medical education and research, he has significantly contributed to academic growth through his publications and scholarly activities. Known for translating complex medical concepts into practical insights, he aims to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and clinical practice.
