A breathtaking blue sky kissed with breezy drops of rain and caressed by sunlight peeking through the clouds. Without a doubt, one of humanity’s most precious gifts is witnessing a Rainbow or “Dhanak” as I fondly call it.

Life is often referred to as a roller coaster ride but I always had a different point of view or rather a poetic point of view. From where I can see life is nothing but a beautiful journey through a colourful slide..”Dhanak”.

This book “Dhanak ke chhor” is not just a collection of short poems but a bundle of mixed emotions which takes us to the journey across the rainbow’s spectrum . Each poem has a pinch of nostalgia which would tickle all the emotions for a person at any phase of life.

The poems have been penned down at different stages of my life starting from a 7th grade student in a half pants, to a teenager with heartbreak, further a corporate employee and now a responsible father to a little princess. The book touches on each special relationship bond we all make sliding to this colourful journey of “Dhanak”. If one end of Dhanak can be seen as childhood and the other as adulthood, then certainly while hiking up and sliding down through these emotions we collect numerous memories along which makes us what we are today.

This book is an invitation to all the readers to visit and revisit all the fond memories and also gently reminds us to keep our inner child vibrant and alive as we traverse through the life’s Dhanak
