About the book

This book gives an elaborate explanation and guidance about hypertension (High blood pressure) as per Ayurveda as well as per Modern Science. It also puts lights on understanding concepts of Ayurveda for pathophysiology of Hypertension based on stages of disease (Shatakriya Kala), as per Aavarana Concept as well as in lights of modern science and advance management of Hypertension through Ayurveda.
Hypertension is also known as a ‘silent killer. The majority of patients with hypertension are unaware of the problem due to its unwarning signs and symptoms. Incidence of Hypertension increasing day by day due to life style change. Many antihypertensive medications are available currently but have various hindrance like side effects and life time medications. High blood pressure is one off the risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and Heart attack.
In ayurvedic classic, there is no straight reference to Hypertension but this disease can be treated on the base of Ayurvedic principles.
Authors has also made efforts to collect all scattered data, and given guidance to easy understanding concepts of Hypertension through Ayurveda and shows path to treat Hypertension by Ayurvedic line of management.
