Description

About the Book

“Kashish” is a story where relationships—those that carve a niche in the heart without ever needing a label—matter far more than love itself. Dev’s journey begins amidst the soil of his village, innocent school-day pranks, and friendships; it gradually evolves into a saga of dreams, struggles, separation, and emotions left unfulfilled.
An unspoken bond with Neha leaves an indelible mark on Dev’s heart—one he tries to erase as time passes. Life takes him from the village to Jaipur, from old friendships to new relationships, and from dreams to the struggles of reality. Yet, some memories do not fade with time; they simply fall silent. Then, one day, a small message from the past gives voice to that silence once again.
“Kashish” is a story of emotions that remained unspoken, relationships that could not be realized, and memories that could not be forgotten.

About the Author

Nepal Singh Gangasara was born in the village of Gangasara in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. He received his early education at the village school. Subsequently, he pursued his Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and completed his B.Ed. and M.A. (in Hindi) from a nearby town.
From childhood, he held a keen interest in reading stories and understanding the nuances of everyday life experiences. The rural setting, interpersonal relationships, struggles, and human emotions deeply influenced his way of thinking and writing. These experiences gradually took the form of words and were ultimately presented to readers as “Kashish.”
“Kashish” is his debut novel. Through this book, he has endeavored to portray themes of love, friendship, struggle, dreams, and the unspoken facets of life—elements with which every individual feels a connection in one way or another—using simple and accessible language.
As a new author, Nepal Singh Gangasara hopes that this debut work will touch the hearts of readers, forge a bond between them and the story’s characters, and—even if only for a brief moment—carve a special place for itself in their minds.
