Dr. Umesh is a renowned educator and academic with extensive expertise in English and Psychology. He is B.Sc., M.A. (English & Psychology), M.Ed., M.Phil. (English & Education) and Ph.D. in Education. He is known for his passion for critical thinking and effective communication, and his deep understanding of psychological principles allows him to create an inclusive learning environment. He has authored numerous publications in national and international journals exploring cognition, intelligence, and the factors affecting academic achievement of students and performance of educators providing valuable insights into these fields. He has also been involved in professional development programs for educators, emphasizing the importance of integrating psychological concepts into teaching practices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. In addition to his academic achievements, he is known for his commitment to community service, participating in workshops and seminars to improve academic achievement of students and professional performance of teachers. His dedication to education extends beyond the classroom, inspiring future generations of learners and educators. His research in Ph.D. focuses on underachievement in science among secondary school students, examining factors like school environment, academic stress, and socio-economic status.
