Medicinal chemistry is a multidisciplinary field focused on the discovery, design, synthesis, and study of pharmaceutical agents and drugs. It integrates principles from chemistry, biology, and pharmacology to develop new medicines and improve existing ones. A good introduction to the field will cover the basics of drug action, drug targets, drug design strategies, and specific therapeutic areas.
In essence, a good introduction to medicinal chemistry will equip students with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to understand the process of drug discovery and development, as well as the chemical basis of drug action.

About The Author

Miss. Devata Haridas Shinde is currently working as lecturer in Shriram Shikshan Sanstha College of pharmacy Paniv, Solapur, Maharashtra, India. She has completed M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical chemistry from Sahyadri college of pharmacy Methwade, Sangola and B pharm in College of pharmacy Paniv, Solapur. She has a total teaching experi-ence of 1 year. She has published research paper in Scopus journal and other research papers in national and international journals. Additionally she has participated in numerous international, national conferences and Faculty development programmes, Seminars, workshops across various pharmacy institutions.
Miss. Punam Nivrutti Bandgar is currently working as an lecturer in sahyadri college of pharmacy methwade, sangola.she has completed both her bachlor’s and master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from sahyadri college of pharmacy methwade, sangola.with a total of 2years of teaching experience she has published research paper in IJPS and IJPPR journals.Adissionly, she has participated in numerous national & International conferences, faculty Development programs, seminars and workshops across various pharmacy institutions.

More Amruta Dharmaraj is currently working as an Assistant pro-fessor in Dalit Mitra Kadam Guruji college of pharmacy Mangalweda. she has completed both her bachlor’s and master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from sahyadri college of pharmacy methwade, sangola.with a total of 3 years of teaching experience. she has published research paper in UPS and IJPPR journals. Adissionly she has participated in numerous national and International conferences, faculty Development programs, seminars & workshops across various pharmacy institutions and also Crack Swayam exam in industrial pharmacy.
Miss Revati Khandu Kadam working as Assistant professor in the department of pharmacognosy at Sahyadri college of Pharmacy, Methwade Maharashtra she has comple ted her B.Pharmacy from SPM’s college pharmacy, akluj & M.pharmacy in pharmacognosy from MGV’s Pharmacy college panchvati nashik she has total experience of 4.5 years she has published research paper she has attended several Faculty development program, national conferences.
