IT’S 2020, AND THE WORLD HAS BEEN PARALYSED BY THE DEADLY CORONAVIRUS. BUT WAY BEFORE THE VIRUS SET OUT TO TERRORISE THE REST OF US, IT TURNED ONE PARTICULAR FAMILY’S LIFE UPSIDE DOWN WHEN THEIR VACATION WENT AWRY.
The intended family vacation, a much-needed respite from the rigours of daily life, took an unexpected turn when news of a deadly virus began to spread like wildfire as they arrived at their destination. Fear and uncertainty gripped the family as they found themselves in a global crisis.
Despite the prevailing anxiety, the family did their best to enjoy their holiday and have memorable moments. They explored the local area, played games, and shared stories around a warm campfire. However, the virus wreaked havoc on the surrounding community as the days progressed.
What was supposed to be a simple family vacation becomes a terrifying experience as they live history. Will it bring them closer or only drive them apart? Will they ever get back to their homeland? Will it change their present, their future?…

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Residing in Chennai, known as ‘The Detroit of India,’ Murtaza Akbar is a devoted family man with an impressive educational background. He completed his Civil Engineering B.E. from Crescent Engineering College and has been a Project Manager in a prestigious firm in Dubai for the past 18 years.
However, the 2020 lockdown brought Murtaza back to his hometown, which prompted him to follow his childhood passion for writing. Although he had received recognition and awards for his writing skills during school, he had neglected his talent until now.
Murtaza believes that humility and courtesy are what make us human. He has a down-to-earth intellectual approach towards problem-solving, which has earned him numerous accolades in his civil engineering field. He plans to bring the same magic from his creative side through his debut novel, Wuhan Awakening.
Over the past eighteen months, he has collaborated with a massive team of editors and beta readers to edit and improve his novel. His primary objective is to engage and captivate his readers; he strives to accomplish that with every sentence he writes.
