About the Book
The present book aims to understand the issue and problem of unemployment and employment in the Ziro Valley of Arunachal Pradesh. As society advances towards modernization our traditional way of life techniques and methods, diet system, means of communication, etc. are experiencing occurrences of change in every aspect of social, political, and economic institutions. A particular generation will adapt to one specific technique concerning time and space which may not be validated for the new generation all the time. The development of technology and its uses is related to a particular generation point in time. The renewal of technology and knowledge is requisite for any society to flourish and progress. The growing number of Apatani-educated youth is a sign of progress and regression for the community. Regression is found in the form of unemployment for educated youths in various sectors, underemployment, and dispersion of the youths. Employability is not all about getting a modern education and getting absorbed into a system it also depends on the nature and characteristics of an individual of how he or she performs or perceives life opportunities.
About the Author
1. Dr. Bikash Bage is the Head (founder head) and Associate Professor, at the Department of Sociology, Rajiv Gandhi University Rono Hills, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, India. He is the Nodal Officer of the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GOI located at the Department of Sociology, RGU. He has to his credit more than 30 research articles published in peer-reviewed, referred, Scopus and UGC-Care-listed national and international journals. He has authored 01 book and co-authored 10 books with over 10 content-created textbooks. He has also presented several research papers at various national and international conferences and seminars in India and abroad. He has completed 15 Research and Consultancy Projects funded by the Government of India, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and other funding agencies like the Indian Space and Research Organization. He is the recipient of the state Governor’s Award for academic contribution to the Trifurcation of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
2. Dr. Padi Hana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, at Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, India. He has to his credit more than 10 research articles published in peer-reviewed, referred and UGC-Care-listed national and international journals. He has edited and co-authored 02 books and developed self-learning materials/textbooks for UG and PG teaching and learning. He has also presented several research papers at various national and international conferences and seminars in India. He has completed 04 Research and Consultancy Projects funded by the Government of India and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. He is also associated with various academic positions in his community organization.
