About the book

The author takes the pleasure in presenting the first edition of the book “FUNDAMENTALS OF ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY” for the students of B.Sc. and M. Sc. Honors and Integrated students of University of Jammu and other Universities. The Book has been written according to the latest update of syllabus prescribed in CBCS pattern applicable from 2022 onwards. This book deals with experiment in Analytical Chemistry particularly B. Sc. fifth and M. Sc semester. It is written in simple and lucid style to provide basic knowledge to the students. The theory and experimental parts are explained very carefully. The subject matter of this book has been divided into fourteen chapters. Each chapter explained in lucid style with multiple choice questions. Each chapter has been supplemented with objective and short answer questions.

About the author

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Rakwal studied M. Sc. Chemistry from University of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir (UT), India. Then, he completed Ph.D. Chemistry in Natural Product Chemistry, from Kumaun University, Nainital, 2020. Then, he worked as a lecturer in Govt. P. G. College Bhaderwah. Since 2020, he has worked at the Cluster University Jammu as a lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry. From 2022, he has been involved in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Inorganic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry Govt. Degree College (Boys) Udhampur. Most recently, His research interests are in Theoretical Chemistry, applied crude to pure components and to NMR spectroscopy. He is author or coauthor of over 12 research papers in scientific journals. His research interests are in the characterization of the Solid State, NMR spectroscopy, X-ray Crystallography and Material Chemistry.
