About The Book

This book is an echo of those voices which are not heard even after being heard. This is the story of those women who work day and night – on the ridges of the fields, behind the curtains of the Chaupal, in the confines of the kitchen, but no one tries to answer the questions that arise within them.

Especially in states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, even today, village women are considered inferior to men despite their hard work, thoughts and dreams.
This collection is an attempt to give voice to the silent rebellion growing within them, broken dreams and the invisible inequalities they face every day in life through poetry and thoughts. I have written what I have seen with my eyes, heard with my ears, and lived with my soul.

About The Author

The young writer hails from Saidpur, a small village in Aurangabad district of Bihar. She completed her primary to higher education in Bihar. She completed her graduation and then post-graduation in Mass Communication and Journalism. After her education, she worked in social media and media handling for various departments of the Bihar government. She has been interested in writing and literature since childhood. Her passion has been to read stories, feel them and put them into words.

Her writings highlight love, women’s lives, their struggles and give voice to other subjects. She has also narrated motivational stories on Akashvani.
This book is also a part of her writing journey, in which she gives words to the unheard voices of women, especially those women who keep the flame of fire and self-respect burning within themselves even while living on the margins of farms, homes and courtyards and society. The writer believes that true literature is that which can show a mirror to the society.
