ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Swami Sitaram was born on November 2, 1952, in a small village called Bari in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan state. After completing his early education, he immersed himself in his profession to sustain his livelihood. There came a time in his life when he had to leave for Vijaynagar, where he met his guru, Swami Durgadas Ji Maharaj. From the very first meeting, there was a transformation in the direction and state of the author’s life. Consequently, on April nineteenth, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine, he attained enlightenment. Thereafter, he became involved in social service, initially vehemently opposing prevalent customs, superstitions, hypocrisy, and casteism in the society. As a result, the custodians of society eventually had to change their behavior towards society. He struggled tirelessly for the welfare of the oppressed, Dalits, and marginalized, and even today, he continues to work for the welfare of society with the same enthusiasm. He is a highly enlightened yogi, saint, adept in tantra, astrologer, musician, teacher, writer, speaker, and poet. A glimpse of this can be seen in the spiritual hymns written by him. The author believes that knowledge and scriptures should be used only for the welfare of the world. Misuse of even a little of it will ultimately destroy the one who uses it first from within. The author is still wealthy in perfect health at this stage of life, and therefore, he believes that the closer you are to nature, the better your health will be. His disciples are very limited in number because he believes that a person must first have the auspicious arrival of purity within themselves for humanity. Only then will someone be ready to become a disciple. Otherwise, they will just form crowds or herds, wasting their own and others’ time.
