Shri Satyanarayan Upadhyay Ji was born on 22 February 1944 in Pakardiha village of Basti district. Today this village is in Siddharth Nagar district. His mother’s name was Mrs. Savitri Devi and father’s name was Shri Jagdamba Prasad Upadhyay.

Upadhyay Ji passed M.A. in Sanskrit from Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, whose name has been changed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Vishwavidyalaya Gorakhpur, and passed B.Ed. examination from Shivpati Degree College Shohratgarh. Thereafter Upadhyay Ji was appointed as a teacher in Chaudhary Charan Singh Inter College Goyala (Mu. Nagar). He has been a highly successful teacher. His teaching style was very impressive and interesting. His results were always commendable. Upadhyay Ji had extensive command over his subjects.
He also had a keen interest in non-teaching activities. The students prepared by him always got first place in speech competition, antakshari, kavi-darbar etc. and used to win shields.

Shri Satyanarayan Upadhyay ji retired on 30 June 2012 after continuously teaching for 34 years 11 months and 21 days.
