About the book
“Nowadays differential equation or system of differential equations can be used for mathematical modeling of many advance problems of engineering and sciences like electric circuit problem, the problem of chain reactions and growth problem of cells. The present book “DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS” has been written for the use of graduate and postgraduate students of various Indian Universities. It will also be found useful by the students preparing for various competitive examinations such as JAM/GATE/CSIR-NET/SLET/IAS. The present book is divided into ten chapters (Chapter-1 Introduction of Differential Equations; Chapter-2 Differential Equation of First Order and First Degree; Chapter-3 Differential Equation of First Order and Not of First Degree; Chapter-4 Orthogonal Trajectories; Chapter-5 Higher Order Linear Ordinary Differential Equations with Constant Coefficients; Chapter-6 Cauchy’s (Euler’s) Linear Differential Equations; Chapter-7 Legendre’s Linear Differential Equations; Chapter-8 Linear Differential Equations of Second Order with Variable Coefficients; Chapter-9 System of First Order Simultaneous Linear Ordinary Differential Equations; Chapter-10 Total Differential Equations) and in the end of each chapter a set of unsolved problems as an exercise to the students has been incorporated. This book also contains 150 multiple choice questions. We hope that this book will meet the requirement and the expectations of the readers.”
About the Author
Dr. Sudhanshu Aggarwal has received his Ph.D. degree from C.C.S. University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in 2019. He has also qualified CSIR NET examination (June-2010, June-2012, June-2013, June-2014 and June-2015) in Mathematical Sciences. He is working as an Assistant Professor in National Post Graduate College Barhalganj, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is equipped with an extraordinary caliber and appreciable academic potency. His fields of interest include Integral Transform Methods, Differential and Partial Differential Equations, Integral Equations, Vibration of Plates, Theory of Elasticity and Number Theory. He has published 115 research papers in national and international journals.
Dr. Shahida A.T. is currently working an Assistant professor, in the Research Department of Mathematics in MES Mampad College (Autonomous), Kerala, India. She is also a research supervisor specialized in the area of Graph Theory. She did her Ph.D. in Graph Theory from NIT Calicut. She has 12 research publications in various international reputed journals including Elsevier and Springer published journals. She has presented more than 15 research articles in various international/national conferences/seminars. She has attended more than 55 conferences/webinars/workshops/faculty development programs all over India and abroad. She is a life member in the bodies; Academy of Discrete mathematics, Indian Mathematical Society, also an editorial board member in ‘International journal of Mathematics and System sciences’ (Empress publisher-USA). She is also a membership in FLAIR and a certified trainer and Auditor of Environment Management System.
