About the Author 

Dr. Somsankar Mukherjee, PhD (Physiotherapy), M.Phil (Physiotherapy), and MPT (Sports Physiotherapy), is a distinguished academician, researcher, and healthcare professional with over 18 years of experience in national and international universities across various domains of health sciences, rehabilitation, and sports medicine. He has made significant contributions to physiotherapy education through teaching, curriculum development, and research supervision. Over the years, he has successfully guided numerous postgraduate and doctoral scholars, encouraging a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and scientific research methodology. Currently, he serves as the Chairperson of the Arunachal Pradesh Allied and Healthcare Council, where he plays a vital role in strengthening healthcare education standards, professional regulation, and academic development. He is also a prolific author, having written several academic textbooks including Textbook of Sociology for Physiotherapists, Textbook of Psychology for Physiotherapists, Foundation of Ethics and Professionalism in Physiotherapy, Pedagogy in Physiotherapy, and Management and Administration in Physiotherapy Practices. In addition, he has contributed more than 30 research publications in reputed journals, reflecting his continuous engagement in academic advancement and scientific inquiry.
