About the Book

This is the third and final phase of “Jailotkarsh” (process of improving social remnants). I have neither experience of writing a book nor have I received any kind of training. I have presented my views in simple, straightforward and original ways. Photos, paper cuttings etc. have been included in the book as proof so that the writing can be authenticated.

About the Author

Gopal Prasad Tamrakar, born on 28 June 1960 in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, is a distinguished sociologist, author, and former Jail Superintendent. A topper in M.A. Sociology from Sagar University, he began his career as an ad-hoc assistant professor and authored his first book, Prem Vivah: A Sociological Study. With 33 years of exemplary jail service, he earned the President’s Medal twice (2005, 2021) and represented India in London for advanced training in human rights and jail management. Post-retirement in 2021, he is devoted to writing and social service.
