About the Book

LET’S TALK ABOUT IT was not written in a research lab or academic library — it was born inside the counselling room, from hundreds of real conversations with real people trying to make sense of their lives. The husband who says “she never listens.” The wife who says the same about him. The teenager who has gone quiet, not out of rebellion, but resignation. The professional who can present flawlessly at work but can’t have one honest conversation at home.
Written by three practising counsellors, this book speaks directly to the everyday moments where connection quietly breaks down — WhatsApp arguments, dinner-table silences, workplace tension, the weight of family expectation — and shows how a single, thoughtfully chosen word can change everything.
Across the chapters, the authors move from the basics of what communication really is, through emotional intelligence, listening, empathy, and managing reactions, into the spaces where connection is tested hardest: marriage, parenting, grief, digital-age relationships, boundaries, and difficult conversations no one wants to start. It closes with real stories from the counselling room and hands-on reflection worksheets readers can return to again and again.
There is no clinical jargon here, and no complicated frameworks to memorize — just the warmth and directness of a counselling session, put on paper. This is a book for anyone who wants to be understood, and who is willing to look honestly at how they show up for the people they love.

About the Author

The LET’S TALK ABOUT IT(FINAL)is written by three practising counsellors — Ms. Parvathy, Ms. Namita, and Ms. Raghavi — who found each other through an unlikely common thread: all three are married to officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
Ms. Parvathy, from Kerala, is a psychologist known for the compassion and depth she brings to understanding human emotion. Ms. Namita, from the hills of Uttarakhand, works across psychology, education, and horticulture, bringing a rare breadth of perspective to her writing. Ms. Raghavi, from Telangana, blends her psychology background with an engineer’s analytical mind, offering insight that is both practical and precise.
The constant relocation, emotional adjustment, and quiet resilience that military life demands gave all three women an unusually deep understanding of loneliness, strength, and the struggles people carry silently. That shared understanding led them to found Eirvana — The Soul Harbour, a counselling initiative built on the belief that no one should feel alone in their journey, and that everyone deserves a space to be heard without judgment.
Together, they are counsellors, mothers, and women who believe deeply in emotional well-being, personal growth, and the quiet power of being truly understood. The LET’S TALK ABOUT ITgrew directly out of their years of sitting across from clients — and everything those clients taught them in return.
