ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. T.M.Anusha Thennakoon completed her Bachelor of Arts in English Special Degree at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, followed by a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Keleniya. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Colombo.
Dr. Thennakoon is a Senior Lecturer in English at the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education, where she teaches a multitude of subjects, including English Literature, English Language, and Educational Measurement. She also shares her expertise as a visiting lecturer at various government and private universities across Sri Lanka.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Thennakoon has supervised thesis writing for students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees. Her research interests include exploring various aspects of English language teaching, methods of fostering learner autonomy, eradicating sexism in language, and enhancing critical thinking skills among students.
