Science, any system of knowledge that is concerned with the physical world and its phenomena and that entails unbiased observations and systematic experimentation. In general, a science involves a pursuit of knowledge covering general truths or the operations of fundamental laws. September is the month of several celebrative days and events which not only highlight various important social issues but also encourage to take action. The first day of September month is the beginning of meteorological “Autumn” in the northern hemisphere and “Spring” in the southern hemisphere respectively. Some of the important days and dates in the month of September include World Physical Therapy Day; World Day for Preservation of Ozone layer; World Water Monitoring Day and many others. It is remarkable to think that some of the greatest scientists like Shinya Yamanaka (Japanese stem cell researcher and Nobel laureate); Prof. Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao (Indian-American mathematician and statistician); Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (Indian Civil Engineer); Michael Faraday (English chemist and physicist) were all born in September. It is essential to popularize the biographies of scientists in classical (Abhijat) languages like Marathi. Book entitled, “September Mahinyatil Vidnyanyatri” (Biographies of September-born-scientists) is commemorating scientist’s contributions through discoveries and inventions. Biographies provide readers with valuable insights of remarkable individuals. In this book, author explains how minds of scientists worked and the mysteries of the universe that they discovered. September born scientists are (were) enthusiastic and linked through their wider area of science, bound to have fortified inventions and discoveries. About The Author

After working as Junior College teacher (three years at Rajendra Vidyalaya and Junior College, Khandala District- Satara) and Professor in Zoology (thirty-three years at Agricultural Development Trust, Shardabai Pawar Mahila Mahavidyalaya Shardanagar, Malegaon Baramati), Dr. Vitthalrao B. Khyade retired on 31 May, 2023. Use of Juvenoid Compounds; herbal compounds (Digoxin); Stevia Inulin; terpene compounds (including retinol) and acetone extractives of selected plants for rearing the fifth instar larvae of silkworm for commercial silk is the significant contribution of his kind self. Through the research on BSF, his contributions to science directly helped to raise the antiaging formulation. The antimicrobial proteins of BSF have a critical role in enhancement of immunity and he believe to be involved in the treatment of cancer. He is recipient of more than thirty international prestigious awards of best research papers and the best presentations. More than three hundred published research papers are on his credit. Twenty-eight of his publications are with Nobel Laureates. One research scholar had been completed the Ph. D. Degree and two scholars have been completed the M. Phil. Degree through the able guidance of his kind self. Dedication to ADT governance and groundbreaking work in Popularization of Science through “Dr. APIS-Science-Spectrum” served to earn significant citation from Global Society for Health and Educational Growth and “Best Scientist” award of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
